Web DesignWeb Design

Though not directly related to my work as a technical writer, I’ve enjoyed working on the side designing and maintaining various websites. Below is a list of some of the sites I’ve designed. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger version of the image.

For a school project, I redesigned author Chris Crowe’s website. I edited, designed, coded, and delivered this project. It is currently live.

Before the current design for this site, I used a version I created using Dreamweaver and Flash. The old site is no longer active, however you can view a larger image of the page.

The current site uses uses WordPress as its back-end. The theme is loosely based on a theme by Trevor Rihel, but I designed the layout and modified the php and css files to make the page display as it does. I call this theme “Heber” (that is where we were when we took the picture of the Wasatch mountains in the theme’s header). If you are interested in using this theme, contact me for more information.

I designed the graphics for this site, and I administer the content. However, I did not do the back-end programming for this site.

I designed this site in HTML as part of a class project. The majority of the site I created is no longer live (just a modified version of the main page), but the linked page is indicative of the style I used for the site.
